Born with an eye for the exquisite, Dawn’s passion for beautiful houses and interiors began at very young age as she accompanied her parents on regular visits to Chatsworth House in Derbyshire and various National Trust properties across the country.
An intuitive visionary, highly sensitive to energy and atmosphere, with a deep need to help people to heal, Dawn felt constantly misplaced in her corporate career as a Senior Consultant for HSBC Actuaries and Consultants. Even though she had been on her spiritual journey since the age of 16, her spiritual path eluded her for decades. Finally, after giving up her search and travelling to Peru, Dawn received an ‘Estrella’ while visiting the sacred mountain Machu Picchu – a spiritual initiation and vision in which she was instructed to follow the path of the shaman. Dawn immediately left the bank and trained with the medicine people of the Q’ero Nation of the Andes, the shaman of Lake Titicaca and the Amazon, and many other shamans worldwide. Over the years she also learned other, more modern healing modalities to create a truly holistic approach for her clients. Within six months of starting her healing practice, Dawn was working internationally and 22 years later she has helped many thousands of people across the globe heal from their past traumas and go on to create the lives of their dreams. Dawn was asked to write about her life and her work and in 2012 her book ‘A Healer of Souls’ was published.
Over the years, Dawn observed a direct correlation between the state of her client’s home environment, and their physical, mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual wellbeing, and although she could help to clear people’s houses energetically, she knew she could do so much more to provide them with a harmonious and nurturing home. Her love of beauty and interiors remained in her heart, only to be bought out in the renovation and decoration of her own homes. In the last four years of her healing practice, Dawn knew she needed to find a way to bring her two loves together – her shamanic abilities, and her love of beauty and interior design – to continue to help people, but to also fulfil the needs of her own soul and creativity.
Furthering her interior design studies at the world-renowned Inchbald School of Design in London, and after completely renovating many of her own homes, Dawn now combines her abilities to create spaces that are not only beautiful but also energetically harmonious, not only delightful to the eye but also to the heart. She draws inspiration primarily from nature, but also from her extensive travels, along with her forays into various creative mediums to manifest designs rich in beauty, warmth and personality.

Her personal interior style preference is elegant, sophisticated luxury with an eclectic or rustic twist (and an occasional touch of wit), but rather than wishing to impose her own style, she acknowledges that for each interior design project there are in fact two clients – the client themselves and the ‘house spirit’ of their property, so she strives to deliver sensitively tailor-made schemes that reflect the personalities and desires of both. Being a shaman – someone who lives and works between this world and the spirit world for the benefit of her community (her clients), – Dawn can communicate directly with the house spirit to learn and understand its needs and by working in harmony with this spirit and not against it, can help to create a home for her clients that nurtures and heals them on the deepest levels, while of course looking beautiful aesthetically. Dawn is a master of energy so she can use these skills to create positive energetic flow in a home, to remove stagnant or heavy energy, and to create a harmonious and energetically balanced interior.
She also acknowledges the need to have all the elements – earth, air, water, fire etc represented as required. Dawn’s interiors not only help her clients where they are today but also helps them to move forward and feel supported on their journey through life.
Dawn also holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and is an Alumni Fellow of Nottingham Trent University. In her spare time she enjoys being in nature, reading, practising Shaolin Wushu Kung Fu and T’ai Chi, and enjoying great food with good friends.
