We recognise the need to create positive and much needed change in the interior design industry by providing our shamanic interior design consultancy services to interior design professionals and working directly with them and their clients to help to co-create interiors that are not only aesthetically and energetically pleasing but also nurturing on an energetic and soul level.
We achieve this by working closely working with the client to fully understand their needs for their environment outside of the usual requirements for beauty and functionality. It is important to remember that as the body is the temple for our soul, the home is a temple for our body and soul, or spirit. It is recognised that the home is a mirror of our soul, a reflection of it, and healing can therefore be obtained by using the home as a mirror to encourage the healing and development of the soul, or spiritual self and the body that resides within it.
Additionally, by being able to directly communicate with the house spirit (for each home has one whether we believe it or not) – and working and designing in a way that aligns with the needs and desires of the house spirit and in harmony with it – thus pleasing it, this ensures that the energy and atmosphere within the home will be one of positive vibration thus creating the optimal environment for its inhabitants, their children, their guests – and even their pets and plants. No amount of pretty décor will appease an unhappy house spirit, and this displeasure will be felt within the home – and also the body, especially the nervous system.
It is important to understand that everything bought into the home carries its own unique vibration and energy. Every wall placement, every piece of furniture, every piece of fabric on curtains, sofas or even cushions, every piece of art, everything will affect the energetic signature of the home, which will in turn affect the energetic vibration of the client(s). As a shaman who has worked with many thousands of people, and their homes for 22 years, Dawn is able to discern even the most subtle energetic signatures. For example, there may be two virtually identical designs of say, green and cream floral fabric from two different design companies – Dawn will be able to ascertain which one is most suited to the energy of the client and the needs of the home.
Our mission then is to create not only beautiful, but also harmonious, supportive and uplifting energies and atmospheres within a home that are nurturing for the client and all who dwell within it, by deeply understanding the needs of the client, working with the spirit of the house or home and then working with the designer to closely monitor design and procurement choices to enable this process. In this way we not only honour the home and the client, but also the world of which we are a part. As the ancient axiom says,
‘As above, so below, As within, so without’
This means that by creating harmony and healing within the home, and within the client, we also bring this harmonious energy into the world – and the world needs this right now.
